GAUNTLET, the arcade phenomenon, is finally available as a Nintendo Game Pak! Choose one of four legendary characters as your hero: Thor, the Warrior; Thyra, the Valkyrie; Merlin, the Wizard; or Questor, the Elf. The unique two-player option lets you compete against a friend; or join forces to defeat hordes of swarming monsters and to collect food, treasure and magic potions.

        • The player can choose from eight character classes to play as, including the Valkyrie and the Wizard from the original Gauntlet, as well as six new character classes: the Samurai, the Punk Rocker, the Android, the Gunfighter, the Nerd and the Pirate.
      • Gauntlet III: The Final Quest - Home Computers 1991
        • Besides the standard four main Gauntlet characters, Thor, Thyra, Merlin, and Questor, four new playable characters were available: Petras, a rock man; Dracolis, a lizard man; Blizzard, an ice man; and Neptune, a Merman.
        • The game is viewed from an isometric perspective and includes a two-player cooperative multiplayer mode.
