  • Broderbund published in NA (best known for Apple II games and Prince of Persia)
  • Lenar involved with video game development, musical instrument production, mechatronics, and CG production for TV shows.
  • Deadly Towers was called Evil Bell on Famicom. The Japan Cart had a red LED which lit up when turned on.
  • The game was almost called HELLS BELLS in NA, but NOA refused.
  • LONGEST PLOT EVER - it keeps going and going
  • Basically in a nutshell - Rubas, the Devil of Darkness, is taking over the kingdom with the power of the seven magic bells.
  • Non-Linear Gameplay - Does it work?
  • At the top of each tower is a boss
  • SO MANY SCREENS - The Tenth maze has 235 screens
  • ON DIFFICULTY
  • Weiss stated: "We did a lot of testing of the game and we didn't actually find it that difficult at Brøderbund, and I think we wanted something more challenging than previously published titles to round out our portfolio.”
