MIGHTY BOMB JACK is a puzzling one. I heard some stories that this game is popular over in Europe, unfortunately I can’t really confirm that. I never heard of Bomb Jack growing up, but research online wants me to believe he’s a mascot of sorts for Tecmo. The game he lives in is honestly nothing special. It’s not very challenging, it’s not very puzzling, and at the end of the day it’s really not that much fun either. I’m not sure what the selling point of Mighty Bomb Jack would’ve been back in the day. It has that Super Mario Bros. thing going on, but other games were doing it better already. Don’t get me wrong this isn’t Chubby Cherub levels of bad, it’s perfectly OK.

THE VERDICT - NOT ESSENTIAL

Just a room filled with bombs and turtles…
